Newcastle is well aware of who Cosmic Spice are. Aren’t we glad they finally released their new single ‘Lucid Dream’ for us to boogie to!

Sydney seven piece that makes up Cosmic Spice brewed up a funky number during their brief hiatus. It’ll make you want to get up to get down. Having brewed up a perfect concoction of disco beat, blended with jazz funk and the stunning vocal work it will have you grooving all night.

With a show happening in Newcastle hopefully soon, Cosmic Spice will always have our love and support.

Bland single review

Sydney rockers ‘Bland’ have released their debut single ‘Can’t talk about it’, if you haven’t heard it yet do yourself a favor and wrap your ears around it asap. With the beautifully layered guitars and relatable lyrics Bland ignores surrounding music trends and stick to their roots of garage indie rock.

Having already scored awesome support slots with acts such as Gum and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Bland are by far one of Sydney’s best-kept secrets that have finally been slipped out.

Soon to be followed with a debut EP, and I have a very positive feeling it’s going to be one of the best releases coming out of Sydney this year.

The Last Exposure single review

Written by Sam King

Sydney four piece The Last Exposure have come out with ferocious new single ‘The Boys’ and o’boy do we have big love for it. The alt rockers discuss the issue of mistreatment of LGBTIQ individuals, women or anyone who feels uncomfortable at gigs. Lead singer Chelsea Barnes jarring voice constantly reminds you throughout the track to love yourself for who you are. Being heavily influenced by Muse, Queen and Lady Gaga they’re not a band to miss out when they tour through Newcastle’s Lass O’gowrie Saturday 2 September in support of their new single.
